今日は折り紙を世界に発信！

折り紙って日本では普通の遊びだけど、
外国では一枚の紙からモノを作る。
という発想はあまりないみたい。
紙で作る箱は可愛く作ることもできるし、
気軽にポイっと捨てられるゴミ箱にもなるよね。

外国のお友達と一緒に折り紙で箱を作っちゃおう！

まず必要なのは、正方形の紙！
All you need is a piece of square paper.

１）折り紙を半分に折り、折り目をつける。
Fold the paper in half. Crease the fold with
your finger then open the piece of paper.
Fold the paper in half along the other side.

２）一度広げ、４隅を中心に向かっておる。
Then open the paper and
fold the corners to the center.

３）中心線に向かって、上下を折る。
Fold the top and bottom edges
to the center of the square.

４）左右の三角を残して全てを広げる。
Unfold the square along one side.
Leave the side triangles folded in.

５）横に向け、上下を中心に向かって折る。
ひし形になるように上下を折って、折り目をつける。
Place sideways and fold the long
edges to the center.
You should have what looks like
a necktie with two points.The diamond furthest
away from you formed by the “necktie”
folds will be the “head”and the diamond
closest to you will be the foot.
Reinforce the creases.

６）５で折った部分を折り目に沿って立たせる。
Create the side walls of the box.

７）箱をイメージしながら、
折り目に沿って左右を折り、
側面を作る。
Imagine a box and pull up
the flaps on the long side to
create the side walls of the box.

８）底面を指で整えて、完成！
Repeat the process for
the opposite end of the foot wall.
Try to make sure the folds
are clean and not crinkly.

Finished!
