前置詞・接続詞・接続副詞を秒速判定する方法

はじめに
Part5で時間を奪う代表格が「前置詞（prep.）／接続詞（conj.）／接続副詞（conj. adv.）」。形は似ていても役割は別物です。
今日は“空所の前後2語”を見るだけで、どれを置くか一発で決める型を作ります。

1) 役割のちがい（超要約）

前置詞（prep.）：名詞（名詞句）を後ろに取る。文をつながない
例）in, at, for, by, with, without, during, despite, because of, due to
接続詞（conj.）：節（S＋V）をつなぐ。従属接続詞/等位接続詞
例）because, although, while, if, when, before, after, that / and, but, or
接続副詞（conj. adv.）：文と文の論理をつなぐ副詞。前後は独立文（ピリオドやセミコロン）
例）however, therefore, consequently, moreover, meanwhile, otherwise

2) 秒速判定“YES/NOクイズ”

空所の後ろにS＋Vが来る？（主語と動詞がセットで続く？）

YES → 接続詞の可能性大（because/although/if/when…）
NO → 名詞（句）なら前置詞（in/for/during/despite…）
文頭でカンマ付き or セミコロン後？ → 接続副詞（however/therefore…）

空所直後が冠詞・所有格・名詞？

the/this/my＋名詞 → 前置詞の合図（in the report, despite the delay）
空所直後が主語（名詞/代名詞）＋動詞？
接続詞（because it…, although they…）
空所の前がセミコロン or ピリオド＋大文字スタート？
接続副詞（However, Therefore, Meanwhile, など）

3) よく出るペア・見分けのコツ

because（S+V）／because of（名）
Because the road was closed / Because of the snow
although（S+V）／despite, in spite of（名）
Although sales fell / Despite the drop
while（S+V：対比・同時）／during（名：期間）
while we waited / during the meeting
since（S+V：理由/起点）／for（名：期間）
since prices increased / for two years
before/after（S+V も名もOK）／previous to/prior to（名のみ）
before we leave / before the meeting / prior to departure
however（接続副詞）／but（等位接続詞）
; however, S+V. ／ S but S（同一文内で結ぶ）
therefore, consequently（接続副詞）／so（等位）
; therefore, S+V. ／ S, so S.

4) 例題で5秒解法にトライ！

例1
__ the renovation, the store will remain open.

空所後“the renovation”（名）→前置詞。Aが正解。Bは節を要する。

例2
The shipment was delayed; __ , all customers were notified.

セミコロン後＋カンマのパターン→接続副詞。Bが正解。

例3

後ろ“it started”（S+V）→接続詞。Aが正解。

後ろ“the team finished”（S+V）→接続詞。Aが正解。

例5
The technician worked __ the afternoon.
A) during B) while C) since D) because

後ろ“the afternoon”（名）→前置詞。Aが正解。

例6（二択の微差）
Sales have risen for six months; __ , profits are still low.
A) however B) but

セミコロン後は接続副詞が自然→A。ただし文内接続ならbut。

5) 迷いやすい語の注意点

since：時（〜以来）も理由（〜なので）もOK。現在完了と相性◎
as：理由/時間/様態に広く使うが、曖昧になりやすい。選択肢で意味の明確さ重視
meanwhile：同時進行の別トピック。独立文で使う（接続副詞）
therefore/so：フォーマル度と構文が違う。セミコロンがあればtherefore寄り

6) 合図語ミニ辞書（覚える優先度高）

前置詞：during, despite/in spite of, due to/because of, in accordance with, prior to, following（＝after）
接続詞：because, although/though, while, whereas（対比）, if/unless, when/before/after, since, that
接続副詞：however, therefore, consequently, moreover, meanwhile, otherwise, instead

7) 10分ドリル（毎日OK）

分1 合図コール：名→前置詞／S+V→接続詞／文頭＋カンマ→接続副詞
分2〜6 例題10問スプリント（各5〜8秒）：空所後“名 or S+V？”を先に判定
分7 タグ付け：prep/conj/conj.adv/句or節/セミコロン
分8〜10 ペア対比読み：because vs because of／although vs despite／while vs during を交互音読3周

9) 今日から使えるチェックリスト

空所直後は名？それともS+V？
セミコロン/ピリオド＋大文字スタートが前にある？
逆接・因果・時間のどれ？（however/therefore/during 等の意味指標）
二語前置詞の“of”が見える？（because of / in spite of / out of）
5〜8秒で決着できたか？

10) 宿題（5〜10分）

本番形式12問を解き、各問に“根拠”を1語で書き添える
例：the＋名→prep／S+V→conj／; →conj.adv
ペア文を自作（各2文ずつ）
Because it rained, … / Because of the rain, …
Although he was late, … / Despite the delay, …
We waited while she spoke. / We waited during the speech.
接続副詞3つで日記1行（However,/Therefore,/Meanwhile, を文頭に）

まとめ
鍵は「空所後2語で見極め」。名詞が来れば前置詞、S+Vが来れば接続詞、文と文をまたぐなら接続副詞。さらに“セミコロン”“ofの有無”“カンマ位置”などの合図を拾えば、5〜8秒で安定して答えに届きます。
